Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
I recently purchased a Kindle Paperwhite. It’s by far the best Kindle produced by Amazon, and easily the best e-reader released yet. The Kindle e-ink reading experience has a new dimension by the inclusion of a front-lit light that gives the Kindle its paper-white appearance. Now to read, read, read! The Swimming Pool Library
I recently finished the debut novel by Alan Hollinghurst, The Swimming Pool Library, published in 1988. Set in London in the early 80s, the novel is seen through the eyes of Will, a wealthy 25 year old gay man, and tells of his relationship with the older aristocrat Charles Nantwich. Hollinghurst’s work is vivid and [...]
iPhone 5
I am now the proud owner of an iPhone 5. As an upgrade to the iPhone 4, the screen is larger, the device lighter, and the speed is much improved. I love how tight Apple have made the device in terms of ease of use.
David Lynch Foundation: Changing Lives With Meditation
New video from the David Lynch Foundation, well worth a look for the impact the foundation has had so far:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I loved this film, and I need to read the book on which it’s based. Such a beautiful piece of work with a cracking soundtrack. Set sometime in the 90s, it tells the story of three friends through the eyes of the film’s protagonist as he starts High School. I want to watch it again. [...]

Transcendental Meditation: The Essential Teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
I’m currently reading the newly released book by author Jack Forem ‘Transcendental Meditation: The Essential Teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Revised and Updated for the 21st Century.’ It’s quite a comprehensive look at TM and its benefits. Newly updated, the content reflects the renewed interest in TM thanks in part to the David Lynch Foundation, [...]
The Secret
I’m about to watch The Secret again. The Secret is essentially the law of attraction. You attract what you think. The film and the book are both big on positive thinking and about how to set yourself up to attract what you desire, and be grateful for what you have. It’s inspiring, mystical, and grandiose [...]
The Canyons
Lindsay Lohan in Bret Easton Ellis’ #Post-Empire film ‘The Canyons’ trailer, scheduled for release in 2013. Campy, retro, and all things less than zero. I can’t wait.
